Our Story

Katie and I met online, not through a dating app but through the game Overwatch. We have been online friends since 2016 and first met in real life in 2018. According to her, we could've met much earlier but I was unaware she was into me. After we exchanged phone numbers and selfies we set our first date for May 18th, 2018. Dinner at Dustbowl Brewery and the movie Deadpool 2 to follow. Despite Katie falling asleep during Deadpool 2, the date was a great success! We grew up around the same areas, shared many of the same millennial experiences, and had a lot of nerdy hobbies in common. There was a deep connection immediately and three years of adventures later, I proposed in the hallway of our home on the Fourth of July 2021.
